Having
the opportunity to be a part of something like hallowed
ground was a dream for me. being in a skateboard picture
that was entirely shot on film is almost a once in
a lifetime deal. seeing skateboarding on film is an
entirely different look at the sport that we love.
It encompasses the astonishment of skateboarding with
the beauty of film. Bringing the two arts together
in one medium is unbelievable to say the least. While
filming for Hallowed Ground I had the opportunity to
travel around the country and skate with a lot of really
great people and have it documented in a way that I
have never been a part of. With most skateboard videos
you only see the advancement of the sport. You never
get to see the art form portrayed to it's fullest.
With Hallowed Ground you get the best of both worlds
. Progressive skateboarding and the creative beauty
of film. This is a film that you can watch before you
go skate to get hyped for the day or a film you can
sit back on your couch late at night and just be amazed
at how beautiful skateboarding really is. Being a part
of this film is one of the highlights of my career,
and I hope it's just the beginning of many more skateboarding
films to come from the moonshine conspiracy.
